A versatile Playmaker & Aspiring Scientist

From competing in the Dutch national leagues to making my debut for a senior women’s team at age sixteen, my field hockey career has been defined by rapid progression and tactical intelligence. I offer a combination of defensive reliability and solid game-reading abilities. My goal is to integrate into a high-performance American program where I can contribute to a championship culture while pursuing a degree in the natural sciences and obviously, have some fun.

Competitive Background & Milestones

My journey began at age five with MHC Nieuwegein, where my development quickly accelerated. I consistently played one age category above my peers, competing at the "Subtop-klasse" level and winning several championships. To further my growth, I transitioned to HC Houten to compete at the national “Subtop-klasse” and “Super-B” levels, where I currently play in the under 18 and Ladies 1.

A defining moment in my career occurred at age sixteen, when I was recruited to play for the Ladies 1 senior team during their critical play-out series. I helped the team secure their position in the "Overgangsklasse"—a milestone that solidified my ability to perform under high-pressure, high-level conditions.

Tactical Profile & Field Presence

I am a versatile player with a deep understanding of the game’s structural flow. While I can adapt to any defensive or midfield role, I excel as a center back or central midfielder.

  • Specialties: I pride myself on "reading the game," anticipating plays before they happen, and delivering precise, surprising cross-passes to break lines.
  • Leadership: I believe in constructive on-field coaching and maintaining positional discipline.
  • Growth Mindset: While I am a solid defender with scoring capability, I am focused on further developing my explosivity and technical precision in central transitions.

Academic & Athletic Vision

Hockey is my absolute passion, and in my opinion there is never too much hockey! I thrive in environments where a "top-tier mentality" is the standard. As an energetic and curious person, I am eager to embrace the challenge of living abroad, building new friendships and having (much) fun in class and on the pitch.

Academically, I intend to study Chemistry, Biology, or Physics, specifically focusing on sustainability and innovation. I am looking for a university that challenges my "brain power" as much as my sports skills. In short: I’m ready to get things started!
