My hockey background:

I started playing hockey at the age of 4 and have played representative hockey for the last 7 years. National tournaments have been a consistent part of my journey as I've been selected for Queensland state teams since the age of 12. My first state team was the U12 QLD School Sport team in 2020. In 2021, I was 1 of only 10 players selected to trial for the U15 state team. In 2022, as a 14-year-old, I was selected in QLD’s No.1, U15 team. Our team won the national title undefeated. I continued this momentum by making QLD’s top U15 team in 2023 and the U16 team in 2024, winning both national titles. My 4th national title was achieved in the U16 School Sport championships in 2023, where I scored the winning goal against NSW as a 15-year-old.

At the recent U18 national championships in July 2025, I was a year under the age playing in the QLD Gold team. I completed the tournament as the most successful drag flicker at the championships as well as the second highest women's goal scorer. I was awarded hockey Australia's player of the match when I scored 2 field goals and set up a 3rd goal to help the team with a 4-0 win.

In 2024, Qld was invited to play in the U17 Mirnawan cup in Malaysia. I was grateful to be selected in this team at the age of 16. The experience was a great introduction to international hockey as we played the junior national teams from Japan, South Africa, South Korea, Austria, and Malaysia. Through scoring and setting up goals I helped my team place second to Japan in a thrilling final, showing our dominance against international teams.

Since the age of 11, I have been selected for Brisbane’s top representative team, winning six state titles. I’ve played at Brisbane's Valley Hockey Club since I was 9, playing in the top team every season. I’ve won the club’s Most Promising Junior player award four times and won most valuable player of my team, 6 times. I’ve captained many of my teams, including my clubs current U18 Junior 1st team. In my first year eligible to play in Brisbane's open women's hockey competition (at 14 years old), I debuted in my club’s division 1 team. Playing in this division, at such a young age and against past and present Australian Hockeyroo players has been a great experience. In 2023, I was awarded most promising striker in the team as a 15-year-old.

Why I want to play college field hockey:

I’m extremely motivated to play college field hockey in the United States. The facilities, training environments, and support for student-athletes are unlike anything we have in Australia. I see it as an amazing opportunity to continue growing both on and off the field while experiencing a new culture and lifestyle. The balance of high-performance sport with academics is something I truly value. I’m motivated by the chance to train hard, compete at a high level, and push myself daily alongside teammates who are equally driven. I look forward to being part of a team culture that values commitment, fun, and mutual growth. Studying in the U.S. will provide amazing academic opportunities. Ultimately, I see college hockey as the ideal pathway to an amazing school and sport experience.
