Football Background

I started my football journey at Sporting Heerlen, where I began playing at a lower competitive level. At the age of 10, I made an important step in my development by moving to Schaesberg, where I played from U10 until U15 at a consistently high amateur level.

During my time at Schaesberg, I competed in the U14 Division 3, where we became league champions. Across several seasons, we consistently fought for the top positions, and our team was recognized as the strongest amateur team in the Limburg region. Through my performances, I was also invited to be considered for a KNVB regional selection, although this did not progress further. This experience motivated me to continue developing and pushing myself.

At the age of 16, I took another important step by moving to Belgium to join Eendracht Termien. In my first season, I played one year above my age group with the U17 team at a high competitive level. I have since remained with the U17s and currently compete at the highest amateur level in Belgium, which has significantly increased the intensity, speed, and physical demands of my game.

My main strengths on the field are my build-up play, composure on the ball, and passing ability, combined with a strong work ethic. I value playing with calmness and intelligence, always focusing on helping the team control the game and progress forward.

Why I Want to Play Soccer in the United States

I want to play soccer in the United States because it provides the opportunity to grow both as a football player and as a person. The combination of competitive soccer and academic education motivates me to challenge myself in a new environment and push beyond my comfort zone.

My primary goal at university is to successfully earn my diploma while fully committing to the soccer program. With the team, my objective is to contribute consistently, improve every day, and help the team achieve as much success as possible. I am driven to work hard, learn from coaches and teammates, and maximize my development.

Through this experience, I am looking to develop myself on and off the field, gain valuable life experience, and learn as much as possible academically and athletically. I want to return from this journey as a better football player and a stronger person, and demonstrate that stepping out of your comfort zone is essential for growth and long-term success.
