Personal Statement

I am excited about the opportunity to combine my academic goals with playing field hockey at a high level in the United States. Hockey has already given me the chance to experience different teams, coaches and cultures, especially through my year in New Zealand, and I would love to continue that journey in the US.

As a midfielder who can also play as a striker, I see my strengths in my speed, fitness, technical ability, game awareness and communication. I am a competitive player who always wants to work hard for the team and continue improving. Playing for BHC’s first women’s team in the German Bundesliga and attending a specialized sports school have allowed me to develop in a demanding hockey environment.

I am particularly looking forward to experiencing a new style of coaching, becoming a stronger and more complete athlete, and being part of a close college team. Academically, I am interested in studying International Business, Economics or Sports Psychology and want to find a university where I can challenge myself both academically and athletically.
