About My Soccer Background

I began playing football at the age of four, inspired by watching my older brother from the sidelines. I couldn’t wait to join a team myself. My first club was Graaf Willem II VAC, where I often played in older age groups. At the under-10 level, I transferred to HV Quick, one of the top amateur clubs in the Netherlands, known for competing in the highest national youth divisions. To strengthen my one-on-one skills and technical ability, I trained every Sunday at a specialized football academy.

From the age of eleven, I was regularly selected for the KNVB Future Team West. This is a national talent development program organized by the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) for the most promising youth players outside of professional academies. Through this opportunity, I was scouted and recruited by ADO Den Haag, where I played matches at the highest youth level against top academies such as Ajax, Feyenoord, and PSV Eindhoven. Although I was offered a contract extension, I chose to focus on my academic goals and committed to earning the International Baccalaureate diploma, while continuing to compete at a strong level.

I will play for the under-19 selection next season, which will compete on the divisional level in the Netherlands.

My Main Qualities

On the field, I am a fast, dynamic, and technically skilled midfielder with quick decision-making. My biggest strengths are my one-on-one dribbling, where I am confident taking on defenders, and my vision in the final third. I feel comfortable receiving the ball under pressure and take initiative in challenging moments, always looking to break lines with forward passes.

Coaches often describe me as a player who connects the team from defense to attack. I enjoy creating chances and assisting my teammates.

Why College Soccer

Playing college soccer in the United States is something I am really excited about. It offers everything I am looking for, including excellent facilities, an engaging campus life, and the chance to be part of a close-knit team. I am interested in studying Business, Marketing, or Sport Management. Being able to combine my academic and athletic ambitions in one place is the ideal setup for me.

I am always looking to grow both as a player and as a person. I believe the college environment will challenge and support me in all the right ways. Football is more than a competitive sport for me. I love the energy, the friendships, and being surrounded by people who are just as passionate. I bring enthusiasm and commitment, a strong sense of teamwork, and the ability to connect with others easily. I am very social and enjoy making new friends wherever I go. I am excited to bring all of that to my future college team.
