Matthew Antolinez

Matthew Antolinez is a right back and wingback for the Miami Dutch Lions in the NPSL, known for staying composed on the ball, moving play out from the back, and delivering strong crosses while keeping his back line organized. He was invited to three U.S. National Team Regional ID camps, scored 52 goals over five years in Development Academy play, started 14 games for the Miami Dutch Lions, and helped Marymount University win the Atlantic East Conference and reach the NCAA tournament. He has also reached finals in the Dallas Cup and USL Academy Cup. Matthew is pursuing a nursing or biology degree toward a career in medicine while looking for a program that matches his playing style and offers a strong medical program.

Personal Statement

As a Right back/ Wingback player at Miami Dutch Lions, I can stay composed and play simple football, contributing to the team by moving the ball around the back and creating space. My strengths are my crosses and ability to get up and down the field and able to help the back line be organized. I hope to lead my team to win the conference and eventually to win the NCAA championship. At the same time, I am getting my nursing degree or biology degree as I plan to work in medicine. I find the most important thing in a school is to find a school that fits my playing style while having a great medical program
