My Soccer Career

I started playing soccer when I was 4 in the minis at Go-Ahead Kampen. By age 6, I had advanced to the Under-9’s 7th team. After one season in Under-9’s 7, I moved up to Under-9’s 3rd team, and the following year, I joined Under-9’s 1st team. The next season, I progressed to Under-11’s 3rd team, which turned out to be my last season with Go-Ahead Kampen. In 2017, I joined my current club, DOS Kampen. Starting from scratch there, I played my first season with Under-11’s 4th team, quickly advancing to Under-13’s 1st, where I played for two consecutive seasons. After that, I spent a year each in the Under-14’s 1st team and Under-15’s 1st, before joining the Under-17’s 1st team. The next year, I moved up to Under-18’s 1st team, and this year, I have been selected for Under-23’s 1st, where I currently play. I have once again been selected for the 'talent pool' this season. The talent pool is a concept introduced by the club last season in collaboration with the head coach of the first team, Jaap Stam. Through this program, the 'talents' from the first team, the second team, and the under-23’s 1st team train together. On the field, I'm known for my intensity, covering a lot of ground, working hard, and maintaining a strong sense of the game.

Why College Soccer

I’m very interested in going to the United States because I think the elite sports environment would be a great fit for me. Soccer is my greatest passion, but academics are also very important to me. Here, it’s difficult to balance high-level soccer with a full-time academic program, which is why I believe playing for a university would be ideal. It would also be an incredible opportunity to experience life away from home, immerse myself in a new culture, and build unforgettable memories while gaining invaluable experience.
