My name is Ryan Pham, I am 18 years old, and I currently live in the Netherlands.

About Me as a Player

For the past four years, I have competed in one of the highest Dutch leagues for amateur football, consistently playing for top teams in my age category:
• Under 17 First Team (4 years ago)
• Under 17 First Team (3 years ago)
• Under 19 First Team (2 years ago)
• Under 19 First Team (1 year ago)
• Under 23 First Team (this year)

Throughout these seasons, we regularly contended for the championship, often finishing second, third, or fourth. While we never won the league title, we did win de beker (the Cup), a knockout tournament where teams from all regional leagues compete. In de beker, we never lost a match.

I have spent my entire competitive career with L.A.C. Frisia 1883, a club that has played a crucial role in my development. Over the years, I have grown into a creative and dynamic attacking midfielder. I am strong at making deep runs, delivering passes behind the defence, and taking on opponents in 1 v 1 situations.

As a teammate, I am supportive, communicative, and always focused on helping others improve. I am constantly thinking about the game and looking for ways to develop my skills in every aspect.

Why I Want to Play in the U.S.

My main motivation for coming to the United States is to improve as a football player while gaining valuable life experience. Experiencing a different style of play and learning from new coaching perspectives will help me grow both as a player and as a coach — I currently work as a youth football trainer in the Netherlands.

The opportunity to study while competing at a high level excites me greatly. Living on my own in a different country will also be an important personal challenge, helping me become more independent and resilient.

Ever since my final year of high school three years ago, I have dreamed of earning a scholarship in the U.S. I am confident this experience will make me both a better footballer and a better person.

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I look forward to the opportunity to share more about my ambitions and abilities.
