About me as a player

In my past, I have played for local youth teams (Excelsior’20 and Hermes DVS) on amateur level. I was part of the first senior team of Hermes DVS when I was fourteen. With the U15 of Hermes DVS, we became back-to-back-to-back champions of the 8th, 7th and 6th tier in the Netherlands. In my last season, I was part of the championship of the senior team of Hermes DVS, in the 9th senior level in the Netherlands. After 4 successful years at Hermes DVS, I went to a higher youth team called VV Spijkenisse. I played for the U17, in the 4th division of the Netherlands and for the U19, in the 5th division of the Netherlands. After 1 year of hard work and progression, I transferred to Excelsior Maassluis, where I currently play at the 5th division of the Netherlands. My goalkeeping abilities are quick reflexes, good in one-on-one situations, shot stopping and I am very helpful in build-up situations.

Why College Soccer?

I think that I will learn a lot if I am going to play in the USA. It is a different style of play, much more physical. I think that this style of play suits me really well. I also think that the intensity on training sessions and in games will help me develop my skills as a goalkeeper to its maximum potential. My goal for this adventure in the USA is to become a much more developed person, not only on the pitch, but also in the classroom. I think that this adventure will help me develop to become a more independent person. It requires a lot of responsibility to fix everything on your own in a whole other country, but I would like to take that responsibility and learn how to deal with problems myself. What I would like to achieve with the team is a nice environment with a lot of fun, but also a group that can be really serious and players who are also focused on their own progression, just like me.
