My Field Hockey Background
I have played in my club's first team for my age group since I was ten. In 2023, I was selected for the North Holland regional team, and the following year I progressed to the North-West district team. In 2025, I was selected for the Netherlands U15 national team.
Since 2025, I have trained weekly with Rood-Wit's first women's team and now regularly play matches with the team. My club team has competed at the highest national youth level and reached the national indoor and outdoor championships during the 2023-24 season.
My Game
I am a versatile player who can contribute throughout the field and currently plays mainly on the left side. My strongest qualities include my technical skill, tactical awareness, drag flick, backhand and ability to deliver long passes. I enjoy taking responsibility wherever the team needs me most.
Why I Want to Play College Field Hockey
I want to study and play field hockey in the United States because I am excited by the intensity, team culture and passion surrounding college sports. The collegiate system would allow me to compete at a high level while taking my academics seriously, a combination that is more difficult to pursue in the Netherlands.
I want to bring discipline, a strong work ethic and a team-first mindset to a program. My goals are to keep developing as a player, contribute to a team that competes to win and create lasting memories while growing personally in a new environment.
Academics and College Fit
I am interested in a pre-medical academic path and ultimately want to attend medical school. I am looking for a university that can provide the right academic foundation, together with an ambitious field hockey program where every player shares the same goals. I value a coaching staff that communicates clearly, provides guidance and helps me become the best student-athlete I can be.
