Academic Snapshot
My Field Hockey Background
I currently play for HC Klein Zwitserland MO18-1 in the Landelijke Topklasse. I have spent many years developing within my club's selection teams and have learned how to compete in a demanding team environment.
With my MO16-1 team, I reached the final of the Dutch national championship and finished as the runner-up in the Netherlands. This season, my team has qualified for the national competition.
My Game
My preferred position is central striker, and I can also play as a left forward. My main strengths are my hard shot, ability to retain possession, awareness of the game and willingness to learn from coaches.
I want to keep improving my movement, decision-making and impact in the attacking circle while contributing to a team at both ends of the field.
Why I Want to Play College Field Hockey
I have heard from friends who currently play in the United States that combining college field hockey with academics is both enjoyable and educational. I would like to experience the college environment, challenge myself in a new hockey culture and continue developing as a student-athlete.
I am seriously considering the United States and would like to complete a four-year bachelor's degree while playing field hockey.
Academic Interests
I attend Vrijzinnig Christelijk Lyceum in The Hague, where I am in VWO 6 with an Economics and Society profile. I am currently interested in studying business, although I am still exploring the specific direction that suits me best.
