Esmee de Willigen is a Dutch field hockey forward considered one of the top strikers in her age category, known for her speed, goal instinct, and strong positioning whether playing centrally or on either wing. She has won multiple national championships at the highest youth level with HC Rotterdam. Off the field she is described as focused and dedicated, balancing her commitment to hockey with schoolwork and carefully managing her limited free time. Esmee is an incoming freshman pursuing a business degree while continuing her hockey career in the US.

Esmée belongs to the top forwards in her age category in the Netherlands. She is a fast and goal oriented player with a good overview, always looking to be in the right position in front of the goal. She can play in a central role up top or on the left or right wing. With her team HC Rotterdam, she has won several national championships on the highest national youth level.

“During games & practices, Esmee loves to have laugh with her teammates, but is also very focused when it comes to playing. Esmée is a happy person with a lot of dedication. Both her hockey activities as well as in school. Off the field she is very goal driven, when she starts something, she wants to finish it and do it well.
