My Soccer Background
I have proudly played my entire youth career at ASV Dronten. I currently play for ASV Dronten U23-1 after being promoted early from U19-1 to continue my development. Before that, I spent a year and a half with U19-1 after moving up as a first-year player.
Earlier in my career, I progressed from U17-3 to U17-1 and also represented the club at U15, U14, U13, U12, U10 and U9 level. At U12, I played one year above my age group.
Last season, our U23-1 team narrowly missed promotion to the 2nd Division after conceding in the final minute. As a first-year U19-1 player, I won the championship and helped the team earn promotion to the national level. Earlier in my youth career, I also became a regional champion with U12-2. At the age of ten, I was invited to KNVB selection trials and progressed through the first two rounds.
My Soccer Game
I am a highly competitive central midfielder who hates losing. My strengths include reading the game, making runs to create space and playing a pivotal role in the build-up. I enjoy finding creative solutions, maintaining possession under pressure and using individual actions when the situation requires them.
Why I Want to Play College Soccer
I want to play college soccer in the United States because I want to broaden my horizons technically, physically and mentally while discovering my full potential in the sport.
My goal is to get the best out of myself, reach a higher level and compete for everything there is to win with my team. I also want to make friendships that extend beyond soccer and last for life.
Alongside soccer, I am in the third year of the Sport & Exercise program at Landstede in Zwolle and expect to complete my MBO level 4 qualification in 2027. I am looking for a college that keeps challenging and motivating me, including when things do not go my way, and helps me grow as both an athlete and a person.
