Harley Jackson

Athletic Profile
Academic Snapshot
I’m Harley Jackson, a sophomore, right back and captain of Monroe Community College’s NJCAA Division I team. I’m comfortable in possession and can also play across midfield or cover at left back. My strengths are my understanding of the game, long diagonal passing, crossing and work rate. As a captain, I’m vocal on and off the pitch. I enjoy supporting my teammates, but I’m also willing to push them when we need more from each other.
Football has been a big part of my life since I joined the Isle of Man academy at eight. I made my first-team debut at 17 and went on to make 38 senior appearances across two seasons at Step 5 of English non-league football. One highlight was playing against Bury FC at Gigg Lane in front of 4,500 spectators. I also captained the Isle of Man U18 team and was named Isle of Man U21 Player of the Year in 2024.
At Monroe, I contributed two goals and one assist in my first season as we went undefeated in the regular season, earned a No. 19 national ranking and conceded just 0.5 goals per game. As captain this season, I’ve contributed one goal and six assists so far. College soccer has taught me how important it is to manage my studies alongside the daily physical and mental demands of competing. With such a short season, I want to make the most of every opportunity and finish knowing I gave everything.
At my next school, I’m looking for a competitive program that challenges me, helps me develop and gives me the opportunity to compete for championships while completing my bachelor’s degree, with the possibility of a master’s later on. Team culture matters a lot to me. I value the close relationships we have at Monroe and want to find that same sense of community, both within my next team and across campus. I’m looking for a coach who holds me accountable and pushes me to improve every day.
