Academic Snapshot
My Field Hockey Background
I started playing field hockey at the age of five while living in the United States. I have played for the Diocesan School for Girls First XI for three years as a striker and also spent three years playing for Somerville Hockey Club.
I have competed in sailing, soccer, athletics and tennis as well as field hockey. In 2024, I won a New Zealand sailing championship and represented New Zealand at the European Championships. I chose to focus on field hockey because I enjoy its team environment and athletic demands.
With Diocesan School for Girls First XI, I won the 2024 Federation Cup national championship. I was subsequently named Diocesan Youth Sportsperson of the Year.
My Game
As a striker, I use my speed to beat defenders, connect with midfielders and create goal-scoring opportunities. I enjoy finishing chances and also play an important role as an injector on penalty corners.
Fitness, strength and conditioning have always been major parts of my game. I want to use those qualities to keep developing as a dynamic forward and to contribute to a high-performing team.
Why I Want to Play College Field Hockey
I want to play college field hockey in the United States because I previously lived there and began my hockey journey there. Returning to compete at the collegiate level would be especially meaningful to me.
I am drawn to the US college system because it combines high-level field hockey with a challenging academic environment. I want to continue developing as a player, pursue a strong education and build relationships that will remain important long after my playing career.
Academic Interests
I am interested in exploring business and sports science. I am looking forward to challenging myself academically, discovering where my strengths and interests can lead, and contributing to a supportive university and team community.
