My Soccer Background

On the field I have good insight on the ball, but also without the ball. I’m strong, extremely fast and very tactically aware of my team and combine this with a good technical foundation. I can be deployed in several positions. My preference is as a midfielder/devensive midfielder but I can also be deployed on any position in the back.

I started playing soccer at the age of five at Excelsior FC Essen. This club is known for it’s excellent amateur youth academie, where many players get scouted. At the age of 11I got scouted by Royal Cappellen FC, where I played at the second highest level of Belgium for 3 years. As I study at the highest level of the Belgian school system (ASO), i decided to leave the club at the age of 14 because i needed to concentrate more on my academics. I eventually went back to my old club, where at the age of 15 I played in the U17 & U21’s. In those two years we got crowned champion twice and won the Antwerp Nieuwsblad cup once. At 16 I got in the senior first team and played there ever since.

Why College Soccer?

Why I would want to play soccer in America is because I like the sports culture in America, and it really appeals to me. I can learn a lot from it, besides that I like the way how they combine school with sports on a high level, 7 days a week. I currently maintain a 3.0 GPA on the highest level of the Belgian academic system and I am open for everything, but Ideally something that fits my current academic level.
