My Hockey Background

Growing up, I have always been involved in many different sports and have represented my county in athletics, cricket and hockey. However, it is my passion and dedication for hockey that has shone through over the years, starting at my local club, Barnes Hockey Club. This provided an excellent introduction to hockey and gave me the opportunity to play in a number of different positions.

At the age of 11, I moved to Kingston Grammar School. As well as being an academic school ranked among the top 30 schools in the UK, it is a renowned hockey school that has developed Olympians. It offered me specialist coaching and the opportunity to perform at a higher level. It was also the right time to challenge myself at a new club with a stronger youth and adult system, so with the encouragement of my school coaches, I joined Wimbledon Hockey Club, one of the leading clubs in England.

Since joining Wimbledon HC, I have enjoyed playing Tier 1 age-group hockey and have consistently played above my age group. I have now progressed to playing regularly for the Ladies 2s in the English National League. I have loved the additional speed and strength of the game and the opportunity to learn from more experienced players. At school, I have also played Tier 1 hockey above my age group and have represented the First XI from an early age. In 2026, we finished third nationally at U16 level and have won national competitions.

My Game

Although I can play anywhere on the pitch, I regard myself as a dynamic and fast midfielder. I use my pace and skill to go past defenders and break through lines, which allows me to create a high number of assists. I also use my athletic ability and strong fitness levels to support the team structure and the press. I do not shy away from challenges on or off the pitch and always give 100% to help my team and coaching staff.

Why I Want to Play College Field Hockey

I am enormously excited by the prospect of playing field hockey and studying in the US collegiate system. Having moved schools and hockey clubs at important points in my childhood, I have always been prepared to move outside my comfort zone to further my hockey career. I love taking on new challenges, learning new skills and making new friendships. I am driven to be a key player and leader in a team, and I thrive when I am given responsibility and play under pressure.

I have consistently performed in big games, both on the hockey field and in other sports, and I look forward to continuing this with my new teammates in the US collegiate system. I am independent, highly organised and dedicated, which allows me to balance my current athletic and academic demands. I believe these qualities will help me thrive in a new US college environment.
