Florien van Tongeren

Florien's commitment

Florien van Tongeren joined Stanford University in Fall 2026. The defender from Zwolle combines NCAA Division I field hockey with her academic studies in California.

Before Stanford

Florien started playing field hockey at H.V. Hockeer before moving to HC Zwolle. She competed at the highest Dutch youth level, captained HC Zwolle's U16 first team and qualified for national indoor and outdoor championships. Her calm distribution, defensive positioning and communication are central to her game.
